A shabby chest / Renovation project / Province of Monza Brianza
In the historic center of the city we oversaw the design of a small two-room apartment, which completely reflects the romantic and shabby taste of the young landlady. The challenge was to be able to give light and comfort to this space, which was to accommodate the day and living area, but which could then be transformed into a comfortable sleeping area with the large sofa bed. Entering the house, we are welcomed by the kitchen with a dining area, where we have opened a window onto the living area, this allows the passage of light and gives air to this space. This solution allowed us not to sacrifice the containment area, a fundamental point of the project. This takes us to the living area, where we find a sofa bed, a sideboard and a scenographic wall covered with delicately decorative paper. Maximum attention was paid to the existing elements in the apartment: the two fireplaces, the stone detail, the high ceiling with exposed beams.
